Coastal’s Head of Finance, Howard Davies, writes “A successful bid would help refocus and validate our current efforts and energy with regards to the regeneration of the High Street. This bid emphasizes the partnership approach already occurring with regards to Third Sector, social enterprises, Swansea BID, local authority and the creative industries to link the different cultures, trades, skill sets and ideas of the High Street together. A successful bid may also help shift our organization into new partnerships and new ways of thinking about regeneration. We would like Coastal Housing Group to be seen as the centre from within which a new strategy for regeneration may emerge. If we are selected to deliver IPP we think it may have a fundamental effect on our culture and our business strategy. The bid allows the High Street to become a central focus point for energizing this under-utilized and neglected area of Swansea and brings community pride back to this important street, which is the main thoroughfare from the train station to the centre of Swansea.”
